Specializing in denizens of the world's largest ocean, Aquarium of the Pacific features a shark petting pool and plenty of otters, nature's happiest creatures. Recently a new penguin habitat was opened and is now home to a dozen Magellanic penguins who are happily mating and waiting for your visit. How to get there:

From the Transit Mall Blue Line station- Take the free Passport D or A Bus (look for the Red Bus) to Catalina Landing. Buses run frequently, from 5:30am to approx 9pm. The trip takes 9 minutes.

How to Get There:

1) From the Long Beach Transit Mall Blue Line station take the $1 Passport A or D Bus , toward Alamitos Landing. Get off at 2nd and Bay Shore. The trip will take 29 mins.

2) Walk south along Bay Shore Ave to Gondola Getaway at 5437 E. Ocean Blvd.

The queen of all Long Beach attractions. This art deco sea going relic from the golden age of travel is a museum, a restaurant, a concert venue and a hotel. Plus it is haunted.

 

How to get there:

From the Transit Mall Blue Line station- Take the free Passport C Bus (look for the Red Bus) directly to the Queen Mary. Travel time is about 15 minutes.

 

OR from the Transit Mall Blue Line station take the free Passport C Bus to Pine Ave. Circle. Transfer to the Aquabus, the red water taxi- fare to the Queen Mary is $1. Water taxi only operates during summer.

Rent a Segway, it's the perfect zero emissions way to zip between all of the main Long Beach attractions. Rent for $79 for 2 hours or $125 all day. They also offer guided Segway tours.
